School of Radiography
The NM School of Radiography prepares students for a career in Radiography through hands-on clinical experiences and specialized didactic instruction. The 20-month program (80 instructional weeks) begins in September and accepts 14-16 students per year. Upon successful completion of the 20-month program, students are awarded a certificate of completion in Radiography and are eligible to take the national certification examination administered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Learning how to deliver compassionate and quality patient care is emphasized throughout the program. Students gain practical skills and professional preparation in Northwestern Medicine's state-of-the-art facilities, which include the most advanced technological and diagnostic equipment available. - Students/graduates will evaluate images for diagnostic quality and formulate necessary improvements
- Students/graduates will be knowledgeable of the importance of professional organizations.
- Students/graduates will display professionalism in the clinical environment.
- Students enrolling in the program will complete the program.
- Graduates will pass the national certification examination.
- Graduates seeking employment will be employed in the field.
- Graduates will be satisfied with the program.

Program effectiveness data includes program completion rate, American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) board exam pass rate, and job placement rate.
