Eligibility and Prerequisites
Prospective students of various educational backgrounds may be eligible for program admission. To be considered for admission, prospective students must follow one of the two pathways outlined below:
College/University Affiliate Program (3+1)
This pathway is for students enrolled in degree programs at the following affiliate colleges/universities: Benedictine University, Elmhurst University, Lewis University, North Central College, Roosevelt University, University of St. Francis and University of Wisconsin - La Crosse. Students will complete 3 years of undergraduate and prerequisite coursework at their home institution followed by 13 months of clinical training and instruction at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. Upon successful completion of degree and program-specific requirements, the student's home institution will confer a baccalaureate degree upon the student and Northwestern Memorial Hospital will award a certificate of completion. Affiliate students must apply to the nuclear medicine program and have a cumulative GPA of 2.7 or better for undergraduate courses. Prerequisite courses must be completed with a grade of “C” or higher and the prerequisite GPA for science courses must be no less than 2.7.

Post-Baccalaureate Certificate Program
This pathway is for applicants who have completed a bachelor's degree (science-related preferred) from an accredited college or university with a cumulative GPA of 2.7 or better. Prerequisite courses must be completed with a grade of “C” or higher and the prerequisite GPA for science courses must be no less than 2.7. Upon successful completion of program-specific requirements, Northwestern Memorial Hospital will award the student a certificate of completion.
