Hours: Monday through Thursday 8:00 am – 1:00 pm

NM Clinical Schools & Programs Refund Policy
Upon written request by the student to the Registrar, tuition may be refunded as follows:
Number of weeks attended Percent of MA Program full tuition ($1,000) refunded
1 -2 weeks 50 percent
3 weeks 25 percent
4 weeks 0 percent
Student dismissed or suspended from NM Clinical Schools & Programs is not entitled to a tuition refund.
ADA Policy
- Up to 20 students selected
- 10-month certificate program September 7, 2021 through July 1, 2022
- Tuition—$1,000 (upon acceptance, NM employees in good standing can use the tuition reimbursement benefit to pay for fees)
- This is not yet an accredited program. Northwestern Memorial HealthCare is seeking accreditation for the MA Program.
Program Duration
Medical Assistant (MA) Program is 10 months long;
- 9-month classroom/laboratory instruction (20 hours per week)
Hours: Monday through Thursday 8:00 am – 1:00 pm
- 1-month/160-hour mandatory clinical externship (40 hours per week)
Hours: Monday through Friday full time/daytime hours
Eligible Applicants
- NM employee in good standing, seeking Medical Assistant certification, or
- Student with minimum high school diploma or GED with a “C” average or above
- All applicants must pass the ACCUPLACER exam

ACCUPLACER exam
- All applicants must pass the ACCUPLACER exam
- Testing date: July 8, 2021
- Testing location: NM Clinical Schools, 541 N. Fairbanks Court, Suite 950, Chicago, IL 60611
Interview/Selection Process
- Interviews: July 12-13, 2021
- Applicants notified of acceptance status: July 16, 2021
Program Completion
- Complete all scheduled classes for program with an average grade of “C” or above
- Complete MA requirements for clinical and administrative competencies
- Complete 160 hours of clinical externship
- Receive certification upon completion of the program
