Medical Assistant (MA) Program Application and Instructions
The application for the Medical Assistant Program is currently CLOSED. The application for the program that begins in September 2026 will open on February 15, 2026.

The following supporting documents should be submitted through the application portal, unless otherwise indicated. An application is not complete until ALL documents are received.

- Personal statement
- Personal statement should be one page description of your career goals and why you are interested in pursuing MA training.
- 1 Recommendation using the NM Recommendation Form
- 1 reference (must be academically or professionally related) must be listed in the application portal. The reference will receive an email with the required form to complete.
- Technical Standards Acknowledgement
- Transcripts from high school/GED or a degree-granting postsecondary program are required
- Transcripts must be sent directly from the institution to NM Clinical Schools Registrar: [email protected]
- Note: If e-transcript not available from institution, please request official transcripts to be mailed to: NM Clinical Schools, 541 N. Fairbanks Court, Suite 950, Mail Box #40, Chicago, IL 60611.
- Transcripts from high school or postsecondary institution must reflect a GPA of 2.0 or higher
- Transcripts must be sent directly from the institution to NM Clinical Schools Registrar: [email protected]
- Foreign transcript evaluation from Educational Credential Evaluators, Inc. (if applicable)
- Required for all courses taken outside the United States. US high school diploma or higher education equivalency must be documented.
- Application fee (non-refundable) - $25 to be paid via credit card through the online application portal.

ACCUPLACER Exam
- All applicants must pass the ACCUPLACER Exam
- Testing dates: July 2026, date TBD
