CT and MRI Post-Primary Programs
Computed Tomography (CT) Post-Primary Certification Training Program* for NM Employees
Computed tomography (CT) utilizes X-rays to create cross-sectional images of the bones, blood vessels and soft tissues inside your body. Computed tomography technologists work in a variety of settings, completing outpatient, inpatient and emergency department scans to provide physicians with diagnostic quality images. The CT program can be completed on a part-time or full-time basis. *The CT program is not programmatically accredited and programmatic accreditation is not required for students to sit for the ARRT certification examination in Computed Tomography. |
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Post-Primary Certification Training Program* for NM Employees
Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) utilizes a powerful magnetic field, radio waves and a computer to produce detailed, cross-sectional pictures of the inside of the body. Magnetic resonance imaging technologists utilize the resonant frequency properties of atoms within a magnetic field to image anatomic and/or physiologic conditions of the body to assist physicians in the diagnosis of disease. The MRI program can be completed on a part-time or full-time basis. *The MRI program is not programmatically accredited and programmatic accreditation is not required for students to sit for the ARRT certification examination in MRI. |
